Need an exception for a movie night or a long drive? Unlock the window from Parent Zone with your PIN and let it resume after.
Coming to the first release
The Device Admin bedtime lock and the bedtime and school schedule editor are coming to the first release. The wind-down screen above is a faithful mockup of the real design. What a lock can enforce depends on the device mode, covered honestly on the enforcement page.
Common questions
What happens during a bedtime window?
The reward apps pause and a calm wind-down screen appears. Always-allowed apps such as phone, messages, and clock keep working, so a child can still reach you.
Can I override a schedule?
Yes, easily. From Parent Zone you can unlock a window with your PIN for a one-off exception, then let the normal schedule pick back up.
How does the device lock at bedtime?
On any Android phone, Earnest uses the built-in Device Admin lock for bedtime. Locking the whole device to an allowlist needs the optional Max protection mode, which we explain on the enforcement page.
