How much does Earnest cost?
Right now, nothing. Earnest is free during early access, with no card required and no features held back. Long-term pricing is not finalized yet, and we have made a firm promise either way: no ads, no dark patterns, and we will never sell your family data.
Android first, free while we build it in the open.
$0
Free for every family
- No card required, ever, to join
- No trial timer counting down
- No features locked behind a wall
What we promise about pricing
Earnest is a tool for families, not an ad channel pointed at kids. These promises hold whether the app stays free or grows a paid plan later.
No ads, anywhere
The app shows no ads to your kids, and it never will. Earning screen time should not come with a sales pitch.
We never sell your data
The app collects nothing and runs offline. There is no family data to package up, and we would not sell it if there were.
No dark patterns
No countdown traps, no guilt prompts, no buried unsubscribe. If we ever charge, the choice will be plain and easy to reverse.
No fake urgency
No made-up timers or scarcity to rush you. Early access is genuinely open, and you can leave the list any time.
What about paid plans later?
We are honest that early access will not last forever, and building Earnest well has real costs. What we will not do is invent tiers or prices before they are real. There is no secret premium plan waiting behind a paywall today, and we are not going to pretend one exists.
If we do add a paid option down the road, we will explain exactly what it includes and what stays free, with no surprise charges and no pressure. The core deal, kids earning screen time through real tasks a parent approves, will always work. You can read more in the frequently asked questions, or see everything the app does on the features page.
Start free during early access
Join the list and we will tell you the moment Earnest is ready to install. It costs nothing to try, and you can see the whole loop before you commit a single task.
