Earnest is Android first and in early access. It is not on the Google Play Store yet, and it needs Android 8.0 or newer. Join the early-access list and we will email you a link the moment the first build is ready to install.

What early access means

Early access is exactly what it sounds like. You are among the first families to run Earnest, while it is still being built in the open. Here is what to expect.

Built in the open

Earnest is version 0.1.0 and growing fast. You get it early, straight from us, before it reaches the Play Store.

Some parts are still coming

The core loop of quests, approvals, and the Time Bank works today. The Reward Shop and full enforcement are on the way to the first release.

What you need to run Earnest

Earnest keeps its requirements simple and honest. There is no hidden hardware, no rooting, and no account to set up before you start.

  • Android 8.0 or newer

    Earnest needs Android 8.0, also called Oreo, or a later version. That covers the large majority of Android phones in use today.

  • A phone or a tablet

    It runs on Android phones and Android tablets. The kid launcher and the Parent Zone both work on either one.

  • No iPhone or iPad yet

    There is no iOS version at this time, so Earnest does not run on iPhone or iPad. If that changes, we will say so on the roadmap.

  • No account needed

    You do not create a login, an email profile, or a cloud account. Everything runs on the device, and you can use it fully offline.

After you join the list

We will send one email with a private install link as soon as the first build is ready. Until then, there is plenty to explore.
